I don't really like this that much (I have GOT to sketch the interior of cars more) but since it was on the other half of a piece of paper that has a much better drawing on it, I thought I'd at least finish it up. Plus I just like Nikko even though his backstory's still not quite fully established. Probably because he's older than most of my other characters. I REALLY need to expand my age range :/

Name: Nikko Atchison

Age: 35

Gender: Male

Personality: Nikko has a no-nonsense, straightforward attitude that often makes him come off as unapproachable and rather intimidating. He drives himself and everyone around him with military efficiency and doesn’t tolerate what he considers inappropriate behavior. Despite this, he is the go-to male in the S.R.D.D for advice and pretty much anything else that’s needed. He also has a soft spot for war veterans and will go out of his way for them. He’s often described as the glue that holds the general force together and is protective of the officers under him and stands by them. He is extremely protective of his younger brother, Mavis Atchison, even though he often shows an annoyed attitude towards him. 

Back Story:

Nikko was born in Westside, Sahiri, to parents who had eloped and married. His parent’s relationship was rocky at best, despite their attempts to not fight around their son. Nikko was an only youngster until the age of 9, when his brother Mavis was born. By that time, their parent’s relationship was beginning to fall apart completely and when Mavis was a year old, their father walked out and never came back. This left Nikko to raise his brother as their mother had to work two jobs to stay on top of things. When he was 13, he secretly dropped out of school to help keep house. This left Mavis extremely attached to Nikko, as he was the only male figure he had in his life and with a desire to be just like him, much to Nikko's displeasure.

When Nikko turned 16 and was legally an adult, he joined the military to help support his mother, despite her objections and Mavis’ begging him to not leave. He went through basic and was assigned to infantry. While in training and his early military years, he managed to catch up on his schooling and earned his secondary degree while he was sent overseas to various posts. Although he communicated regularly with his family, he was adamant about his brother not following him into the military, especially after witnessing war brutality and liberating a POW camp. Nikko instead encouraged his brother to go on to college and Mavis finally agreed to do so.

While overseas, he met Lizzy, and after a few awkward starts, began dating her. As they grew closer, Nikko became afraid of their relationship and suddenly broke it off. He quickly found it to be a mistake, as he was devastated and through their circle of friends, knew she was in the same position. Days before he was transferred to a different post, he contacted Lizzy and explained his reasons for ending their relationship, citing his parents falling out when he was young and he didn’t want her to be in the same position as his mother was. Lizzy, although understanding, hotly replied that he had the chance then and there to walk back into her life and stay there, which he did. Lizzy followed him to his next post and they married a few months later.   

When his military contract expired two years after his marriage, he decided to not renew it so that he could spend more time with his wife, and was discharged honorably as a captain. He moved back to Westside with Lizzy and decided to apply to the S.R.D.D, which he was accepted and he was sent to the academy on the short-track, due to his past military training.

Halfway through his academy training, his brother also applied and was accepted into the academy. Nikko threatened and begged his brother to drop out but he could do nothing to dissuade him and grudingly left his brother to his own devices. Nikko graduated the academy and started as a general officer, with his brother two years behind him. When his brother entered the general force, he was extremely protective of him and often hindered him in his work, but finally backed off somewhat when he realized that Mavis was no longer the youngster that he had raised and could take care of himself.

Over the course of nine years and with his management skills, worked up to the rank of major and became ground leader of the general force, with his brother still under him, something that Mavis is ever determined to change.

*One of the few established characters over 30.

*First character to have parents that divorced.

*First established character to have a muzzle the same color as the rest of his body and have an implied beard.

*Both Nikko and Mavis have theme songs by the same artist (Kutless).
